Hey ya'll- We got the new camera today and I'm in love!!! I've already been practicing in the yard-- a LOT of erosion and deposition from yesterday's flooding. It's like my own earth science lesson in my backyard- though I could do without the delta that formed outside my backdoor. Anyway- practice makes perfect because goodness knows we don't need blurry pictures of glaciers and sea lions. As soon as I figure out how to post a picture we'll be set! And hey- if you have questions in mind about what YOU want to know about Alaska's wildlife then post a comment and we'll find it out for you too!!

Here we go!
Well, add this to my running list of things I thought I'd never do...create a blog!! Since my most recent accomplishment is learning how to send a text message, this is really a ginormous leap for me!! My partner (slightly more savvy with the technology) and I will be adding to this frequently from now through the trip, so keep checking in for the real fun to begin. We bought the tickets today and as we get closer to the departure date the excitement just keeps growing. In just under 7 weeks we'll be in Alaska!! I don't know what's more exciting- the cruise, the study trip with Steve Spangler, the Alaskan wilderness, or leaving the sweltering Houston summer heat for chilly temps. Fund For Teachers- WE LOVE YOU!! This promises to be the study trip of a lifetime.
